The tools' dance is an ongoing project developed through the techniques and technologies of rural societies, industrial, post-industrial. The research takes shape in the Mediterranean area to meet local communities and farmers, dancers, historians and experts of agricultural mechanization.
The project aims is to create a video archive of gestures linked to the main agricultural crops Westerners.

The crops investigated up to now, in the form of video-dance, are those of rice (Piemonte, IT) and olive trees and vines (Andalucia and Murcia, ES). The next are corn, sugar, tobacco, tomato, salt, etc..

The transformation of the landscape (through mechanization) and the corresponding mutation of the social dynamics, the new role of migrants in the fields and the role of agriculture in the city, are some of the issues that arise whenever the project is host to a territory.

The working group comes together for each new crop, searching -among seasonal workers- people able to participate in the activation of the dance workshop.
